AI-Powered Final Assembly Inspection for Inverters
The Challenge
Making Final Assembly Checks Repeatable
Factory discussions identified inspection opportunities across manual-insertion PCBs, battery manufacturing and final inverter assembly.
Final assembly requires a repeatable way to identify visible assembly deviations and verify critical build conditions before the product moves forward.

Inspection Scope
Multi-View Inspection Around the Finished Product
- Final inverter assembly visual inspection.
- 360-degree / multi-view inspection requirement.
- Screw seating / tightening-related visible conditions.
- Detection of assembly deviations from acceptable product condition.
- Potential extension to PCB and battery manufacturing inspection.

RoshAi Solution
Configurable Inspection From Multiple Views
The power electronics manufacturer provided an inverter sample for feasibility work, and RoshAi developed/configured the IQI Agent for inverter inspection. The solution is intended to use controlled imaging and AI-based deviation detection, with the inspection architecture adaptable to multiple views around the finished product.

Validation / Status
Feasibility Development Followed by Deployment
- PROJECT STATUS: DEPLOYED
Following feasibility development using customer-provided inverter samples and on-site validation activities, the IQI-based inspection solution has been deployed. Production-level quantitative performance figures are not included because approved public metrics are not currently available.
Business Value
Broad Defect Detection From Good References
- Automates visual checks at final assembly.
- Supports consistent inspection of multiple visible assembly conditions.
- Creates a pathway toward 360-degree inspection of the finished inverter.
- Common AI platform can potentially address additional PCB and battery inspection use cases.

Scale Potential
From Inverter Assembly to Broader Power Electronics
The deployed inverter application provides an entry point for broader inspection deployment across manual-insertion PCB, battery manufacturing and other final-assembly quality applications.
